Door gasket replacement?

Hello all,

I am looking to replace the door gasket weatherstrip on the driver's side of my 2009 STX regular cab.

I replaced it somewhere around '13 or '14, but I observed yesterday that it's a bit chewed up and really could use some replacement.

When I looked six or seven years ago, finding a replacement was a cinch. However, since then, the passage of time has either made these more rare, or old age has diminished my googling skills. I would really prefer an OEM replacement to one of those "universal" deals.

Does anyone here know either when I can find it, or at least the part number so I can find it myself?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks glc. I don't know why I didn't hit that on my search. Are they usually cheaper than others?

Not always. I use Tasca for researching OEM part numbers, on most items they are usually very competitive.

I see that the part number is BL3Z-1520709-B. But, there's also BL3Z-1520709-A, which looks identical when I see drawings of it.

The part numbers are the same but for the last letter. Does anyone know the difference between A and B for this particular part?

Does that mean B is different than A then?

I'm smelling a scam here. Last Friday, I placed an order with fordpartsgiant.com. The part was listed for $123.02. So, I ordered it. I get email last night saying my order was voided because the part is discontinued and/or on backorder. So, I get to gooling to find another source for the part. Turns out fordpartsgiant magically has the part today...but today they want $153.28, over $30 more.

I just ordered it on ebay for $169.02 with free shipping. I think this is crazy for a length of rubber, but this is the best price I could find. Unbelievable.

Well, my story has an ending. When considering that tax and shipping is part of the "out the door" price, this is the best deal I could find...

https://www.ebay.com/c/2180603461

I still think that money is absolutely outrageous for a piece of weather stripping. I replaced it about 8 years ago and paid ~$109. I thought that price was crazy then....

It arrived yesterday. Though very overpriced, it was of higher quality. And, I could tell a difference between the "B" part I got yesterday, and the "A" part that I installed about 8 years ago. This one seemed a little bit heavier, and the grip against the lip on the body was redesigned and tighter, so much so that to do the job properly I needed a rubber mallet and a pry tool to get everything in to perfect place.

Before installing it, I performed this procedure on it...

I have to believe adding this reinforcement will help extend the life of the gasket. If this one gets chewed up in a few years like my last one did, I'll probably have to mortgage my house to replace it again if the pattern of price insanity continues.
