Vibration/Grinding sound at 1000-1500 RPMs

I have a vibration/grinding noise that will start around 1000-1500 rpms that seems to be coming from somewhere under the driver's side. Seems to be from the gas/brake pedals to the wheel. It will go away when I let off the gas or give it more gas. I can give the truck full throttle at a complete stop and I won't notice this. At first I thought it might be a u-joint, but I am at a loss at what this could be? Anyone experienced something similar?

I have a 2010 F150 FX4 with 117,000 miles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check the exhaust heat shields. Does it do it in 4 wheel drive?

I have not checked the heat shields. I drove it for a short trip this morning in 4x4 high and did not seem as pronounced, but it did seem slightly there. I will try again, but it was for sure not as pronounced. If it isn't doing it in 4x4 what does that lead to?

Low vacuum to the IWE's (hubs). In 4wd there is no vacuum, application of vacuum disengages them. They will grind if partially engaged.

Search this forum for "Vibration When Slowing". Some good info there on the low speed vibration issue.
