2014 F150 4x4 XLT shudder on acceleration / dirty wheel sensor
Hey guys, just wanted to make a PSA that I was experiencing a shudder with my 2014 XLT. When I replaced the parking brake shoes, the one wheel speed sensor was covered in dirt/filth/mud/whatever... Cleaned it off and did the other brake shoe on the other side of the truck and took it for a test drive and there was no shuddering either on turns or acceleration.
I imagine that the wheel speed sensor was giving bad data to the computer which would kick the TCS in or something like that.
I had originally thought it was the well-known slip bump that was causing it but it wasn't.
