The F150 never used the Duratec, they are all Cyclone. That replaced the Duratec. Yes, the water pump is behind the cover driven by the timing chain.

The 3.5 Ecoboost is based off the Cyclone. The 2.7 Ecoboost is a Nano.

Well, it's a relief to know that the F150 V6s don't have the timing chain pulling the water pump. I did some research and it appears that those engines were designed that way to make the engine shorter for FWD transverse mounted engines in cars/suvs.
