Hi, a friend of mine has a 2010 F150 super crew XL. Right now the left rear door will not open.

Some background; approximately two weeks ago we put a new wiring harness in it and reassembled the panel.

At that time we noticed that the outside door handle was a little sticky but would still open the door. Also the inside door handle was working fine and opening the door.

Ordered a new outside door handle and when he came over to install it we weren’t able to because the outside door handle nor the inside door handle would open the door. The inside door handle has resistance so I don’t believe it’s lost the connection to the cable.

Current situation is the door won’t open. The child safety lock could have inadvertently been engaged bit definitely not intentionally.

Any ideas on how to get the door open?

Destroying the outside door handle is an option because it’s broken anyway.
