Truck will not go into any gear,i found a little button on the floor console and it released it to where it just slides threw the gears and will not even start because cant get it into park,it feels like something came loose and wanted to no if anyone had similar problems,its sitting at a garage till I figure out something,I seen where it may be a cable and if anyone had this repaired how much should it cost or just some ideas where to look.

I'd follow the cable to the transmission and see if you can move it by hand or take a look and see if it is damaged.

Please chock the wheels and set the parking brake before getting under the truck... we don't need you getting squashed.

Let us know what you find out.

 

It should start in neutral.
