4.6 swap
Hello all , I have a 2009 f150 4.6l 8th digit in the vin is #8 and I’m looking to replace the engine. I want one that will drop in bolt up and wire the same as the current .. I found a 2008 4.6 and I was curious if it would work or what other years will work.

That's a 3 valve, and the 4.6 3 valve was only used in 2009 and 2010 in the F-150.

Nope. Different computer, different wiring. I think a 5.4 3 valve swap might be easier.
