Spring Cleaning 2013 Ford XLT

It was time for me to detail my truck. I try to do it twice a year. She was not that dirty but she needed to be clean and waxed.

Looking sharp!

Can't wait for the snow and road gunk to disappear. I am hankering to do a nice wax job on my truck.

Gosh, I wish we had no snow and heck I'd be happy with 40's in Upstate NY.

We just got dumped on ~24 inches in my neck of the wood last Friday/Saturday. We are something like 25 inches over our normal snowfall. Spring hasn't even came yet... so when it rains, I don't think we will have a water problem this year.

I'm an avid distance runner and I can't wait to get the tshirts and running shorts on... tights, long sleeves and jackets get old...

When I do that to my truck, it rains the next day and I have to drive it, so it gets all dirty again..

But, it does clean up well on those nice days too...

Nice job and I do like the 13's.

Oh, this is not how the truck looks today... This was taken last Summer...

I'm also chomping at the bit to get my truck cleaned up. Winters around here are tough on it since they use a 50/50 mix of salt and sand/gravel.

My front bumper (white) takes a bunch of direct hits from cars coming in the opposite direction - this year it is the worst and showing rust spots from this.

I am thinking of taking it to a detailer for the first time - and also possibly a body shop for an evaluation. I still love this truck after 9 years and need to keep up with it.

Also because of being crippled up somewhat now it kills me to even wash it let alone a good detail.

I've been looking at new trucks but can't find the same setup I have - FX4 with luxury package. All the more reason to keep mine looking good.
