strange noise when accelerating

strange noise when accelerating

I have a 2013 F150 Lariat with 60,000 miles. I am hearing a strange noise when I throttle up around 2000 RPMS while in park. I hear the noise when I accelerate to around 40mph. No indicator lights coming on. Engine temp normal. Transmission smooth when gears change. It almost sounds like a CD player looking for the CD.

Check the exhaust heat shields.

Thanks. I will check that. It sounds like it is coming from the front. Could it be a belt issue?

Highly doubt it's a belt issue.

Water pump? My '14 made a strange sound I couldn't track down for about 2 weeks. Then it started leaking...
