will a tubular tailgate extender on a 2003 f150 fit a 2009 f150

I'm not 100% sure the extender was an option in 2003. I do know the one from the 2004-2008 trucks will fit.

If it is off a SCrew I would think it would be to narrow, If it is aftermarket tell them to measure it and check the width of you bed.
