2010 Lariat Instrument Cluster Issues

I'm new as of about 15 minutes ago but I've read several, very helpful, posts over the years and I was hoping that someone may have an answer for a particular issue I'm having.

I have 2010 Lariat with ~ 93K miles. The issue I'm having is that the instrument panel is blacking out periodically. If I give the dash a firm 'swat' it will come back on. After reading an older post, I went ahead and replaced the battery on 8/6/2017. It seemed to correct the issue then it went out again a few hrs later.

Any ideas? Could it be a bad connector or solder joint somewhere? I appreciate the help, it seems like there have been a lot of failing parts all of a sudden and it's starting to add up.

Thanks

basically all the 99-03 trucks had solder issues, as well as the 04-08 trucks.

Would not surprise me if thats the case going forward on the newer trucks.

*as a side note*
I deleted your duplicate thread in the introduction section. We ask that you keep one thread per subject to not have confusion as to whom is helping and where.

Had same problem with my 2010 fx4. It was the plug that plugs into the top of the cluster. It pulls to one side. Put a zip tie on it keeping it from pulling and problem hasn't been back. It's worth a try.
