Which Wiper Blades

Which wiper blades do you guys use?
I seem to go through the standard Anco more than I expect in a Winter..

Thinking about RainX or Bosch
Anyone have any preferences to which ones they like?
Need them for Northeast Winters.. Ice, sleet, rain, freezing rain.. etc..

I've been using Bosch lately, my experience with RainX wipers was not good.

I ordered Motorcraft brand wiper blades from Amazon and they've worked good and only cost about $12 and the shipping was free. Anco and the other cheapo auto parts store brands never lasted very long for me. IIRC the Motorcraft ones have been on my truck for three years now and are still working fine.

Bosch Icons. I have them on all our vehicles. Not the cheapest but they give a clean wipe much longer than any other blade I've used over the years.

Not only that, they are not open frame blades, no place for ice and snow to get jammed up in them.

I just went back to the Motorcraft blades this last time. Have always had decent luck with factory blades and they can be had at a reasonable price. I think I got them shipped from Rock Auto for around $16 or so for the set.

I had been using the $8 wiper blades from Sams Club for years with success. Lately they didn't last very long before starting to squeak. Then I tried the less expensive blades from Walmart. Sucked. Then I paid more for RainX and they are doing fine.

I've been using the Bosch Icons for the past year and a half. I have had good luck with them in my runabout Ranger truck in the past so I wanted to try. With the 150, I hated them for the first few months. The passenger side made too much noise and they didn't fit the outer side of the winshield that good on that side. Now it seems like they are quiet and work well......or I'm used to it or both.
I have a set of OEM motocraft replacements sitting in shop I bought because of the deal so I'll be going that route next time. Maybe I had a bad pair but, this has been my experience.

It looks like Bosch Icon is the only brand that has two different model numbers for Driver and Passenger (22A and 22B)
All other manufacturer models have the same wiper for both sides. Could explain a lot of issue above about one side being noisy..

Worth giving it a try if they took notice to that.
I'm buying a set off ebay now.

Factory wiper blades work well for a long time. I have found that trying to get the exact replacement to factory blades is a crap shoot. Bosch Icon blades gets my vote.

The reason for the 2 different numbers is they have an airfoil - if it's upside down it will lift off the windshield at speed.

Using the same blade on the passenger side wouldn't make it fit upside down.. It just shifts over to the other bracket and installs the same way.

Maybe it has a slightly different curve? Or a slightly different length? Or bracket position?

I've tried those mentioned, and a few others. Personally, I found nothing that worked any better than the Anco's. UV rays do the real damage, along with improper maintenance. I use the Anco Winter blades (the ones with the Red tips) pretty much year round.
