Power Steering Return Hose Blows Off

I opened my power steering system while doing some collision work. I have now closed the system and have tried to bleed the power steering. Some how high pressure in getting in my return lines and blowing them open. It seems like the full pump pressure is coming directly to the low pressure return lines. When I start the engine, less than 30 seconds and a line will blow off.
Do I have a bad valve in my rack or the pump that is causing this high pressure to get in the return lines? Is their an easy fix or are we in for a new rack?

Are we supposed to just guess as to what you're working on?

the 09-10's still had hydraulic power steering, in 11 ford switched to EPAS or electric power assisted steering on all 150's except those equipped with the 6.2

You're nicer than me. I was getting ready to say something about the problems of putting a hydro hose on an electric rack...

Hey Wookie, I guess you are the reason I do not usually use a forum for information, their is always some smart-*** that comes out of the screen. I could really use some ideas or help if their are any real mechanics out their.

There are real mechanics out here, but, when you omit such basic information (like what you're working on), it's usually a sign that any significant effort spent will be wasted.

Attitude counts.

*There...

^^^ is that doing it right?

You can in here being a smartass, what did you really expect when you either didn't know or forgot that in 2011 the steering rack went electric?

Maybe you should call one of those real mechanics so they can put your hose on. If you're making enough pressure to blow the line off you have something plugging the line or the fittings are bad. Both should be fairly obvious to a real mechanic.
