Check Charging System light and won't start

I went out to run to the store and my truck won't start. Has Check Charging system warning on dash.

I drove to church went to vote, etc everything was fine. Home for a few hours went outside and nothing. Makes no noise (like clicking trying to start etc) all lights come on, radio works, etc

Checked the battery, 12.5V , charger says 100%

It wont start so I can't check load.

Any ideas?

What does the voltmeter do when you turn the key to the start position? If it drops considerably, you need a new battery, pull it and go get it load tested. If not, I'd look at the MLPS - try starting it in Neutral, wiggle the lever up and down.

Your signature says "2009 supercrew". If that is the original battery, that is the place to start. Most batteries last about 4 years now days due the the extreme temp and load stress these trucks put on them now. Like GLC said, pull it, take it to a service shop and have it load tested. My bet is it is shot. All it takes is one bad cell and you are done.

God luck with it.
