Traded the 04 FX4 for an 09 FX4
And everything is great. I love the addition of the integrated brake controller and the real tow/haul mode the most. I'm figuring out how to use the additional bells and whistles, but I have two complaints so far.
First one, I really dislike the daytime running lights. Is there any way of turning them off? I work late shifts and my neighbors get annoyed when my headlights shine right into their bedroom window when I pull into my driveway. Plus I just like having the ability to keep the lights off for the local drive-in movie theater. The owner's manual doesn't say how to disable them, but I want them off. So what's the trick?
The second complaint, the Sony "premium" sound system is garbage compared to my 04's stock speakers and the aftermarket amplified MTX Thunderform box. I kept the MTX and would like to toss the Sony subwoofer in favor of the MTX box but I've never hooked a subwoofer to a factory stereo. How does that work?
