I have a 2010 f150 5.4 4x4. I want to get a leveling kit. My issue is i don't know if I should get a 2 inch or a 2.5ich. I've seen both and both look level. So my question is which one get my truck the most level?
I got the 2.5" Rough Country. It made my truck almost perfectly level. I'm really glad I went with it. It didn't kill ride quality either. If you do any off roading, I would stick with a Bilstein adjustable 5100 or something similar. If yours is a pavement king like mine, you'll be perfectly fine. Hope that helps.
I originally had a 2" leveling kit but ended up replacing it with the Rancho QuickLift. I was happier with the ride of the Rancho but for the price I better be lol. About a year after that I added a inch to the rear to bring the rake back and overall I am happy with the result.
Didn't screw anything up. I had my friend Replace Lower Ball Joints, Upper Ball Joints, Tie Rods and all that good stuff before I would have any issues also replaced with all MOOG Parts.
My truck has 160,000 miles on it and it is 12 years old so i would have to replace it at some point. Better to do it now then break down on the side of the road.
The leveling kit was perfect for me. I drive a lot and do not go offroad, So it gave my the non stink bug look for under $150 installed with parts.
Not bad compared to $1800 for a lift kit not including tires.
Also blew my tranny just 2 weeks ago which was $1800 to fix, so glad I didn't put a huge lift on a 12 years old truck.
I have a 2012 with what I believe to be a 2in level not exactly sure it's what was in it when I bought it. I recently just put a set of 35x12.5r18s on it, just a bit after trimming some plastic but we'll worth it in my opinion

2014 with a 2" AS level on the front. It measures perfectly level. I have the stock 1.25" blocks in the rear. I just ordered 2" blocks to get a bit of a bump up on the back and have a bit of a rake again. I think I'll be putting Fox 2.0 coil-overs on the front to match the 2.0's I have for the rear (waiting to do the blocks before putting them on). If the 2" blocks don't lift the rear enough, I'll put Pro-Comp AAL's or the 3" blocks I have on the shelf.
Here it is with the 2" level on the front. Pretty much the first thing I did to the truck.
Went with the Rancho Quick lift also. Defiantly super happy with the ride and ease of installation! Did Cooper ATP 275/60r20 also since buying a house very soon $$ was a major concern
