rear slider problems

The rear electric slider on my 2011 F-150 Lariat works very intermittently. Afraid to open it in case I can't get it closed. Anybody else have this problem? How do you check to see if it's the switch or motor?

Does yours have problems going one direction or the other? I had the switch pod replaced under warranty due to my window opening OK but, I had to initiate the switch a couple times to close it and over time it got worse.

Hi Blair114,

It sounds like you're going to fix this yourself, but if you run into any issues, you can always make an appointment at your local Ford Dealership. How many miles are on your truck currently?

OP. Do a search on this site. Rear window slider problems are COMMON. There are at least two threads open on the subject right now.

Those threads have to deal with the rear defroster NOT working from a bad window contact, not the window operation. OP looks to be having a switch problem.
