Radio Buttons Not Working 2009 F150

Hi, Guys

I have recently purchased a used 2009 f150 xl and none of the radio buttons work at all.

I took the centre console apart and radio was unplugged, reconnected everything and now the radio is stuck on am radio with no controls.
All fuses are intact and the radio is working however, I cannot control it in an way.

Searching online has yielded no useful advise.

Thank you in advance.

I had this same issue with my 2008. Had to replace the radio. Bought a Ford unit from dealer. Was $325.00 installed, programed to truck, 24 month replacement warranty.

Did it work when you purchased it? Did you buy it from a dealer?

Hi F150-guy,

I recommend visiting a Ford dealer for assistance. They can give you a complete diagnosis.

LOL! OF COURSE, you do! I'm sure that Ford would like to see him waste another $120/hour for a "Diagnosis" charge that won't tell him anything other than he radio doesn't work and to buy another one. NO dealership has actually repaired radios since at least the 1960s.

OP there USED to be a series called Sams PhotoFacts that published repair information for TVs, Stereos and car radios but I haven't seen one since the 1980s and I doubt that they're even published any more. AFIK the car manufacturers have NEVER published anything like that and the dealers have NEVER sold or even looked at such information. And I KNOW for certain that they haven't since at least 1966. There are SPECIALTY shops that repair car radios for car COLLECTORS but you're talking big money there. My advice, throw it away and buy another one. And this time get one with a warranty!
