Help with squeaky seat

HELP!!! I have a 2013 Ford F-150 STX I bought used about 6 months ago. There has been an extremely annoying squeak coming from the driver seat. I have taken it in to Ford 3 times and get the same canned response "we cannot recreate issue". I sprayed lubricant and this worked for awhile a few different times but now oil does not work. The noise is coming from the back park of the seat because if I sit up away from the back the squeak stops. I removed the lumbar support and still happens. Does anyone know a fix for this because it is driving me crazy. The squeak is worse if the seat is straight up/down but better the farther back the seat is leaned back.

Welcome to the site, glevine01! When you were at the dealership, did you demonstrate the squeak for them? If not, I'd recommend that as a next step. How many miles are on the truck currently?

Out of warranty

They said there was an open "ticket" but they started ignoring my calls and refusing service. Once the lubricant worked I stopped calling them but now I am past my warranty miles

The dealership really did a number on me...I literally begged for help to 4-5 different service reps and all my pleas were ignored. I even emailed the service dept via their website and that was ignored as well

Unless you want to pay, if you're out of your bumper to bumper warranty, there's nothing they can do.

Thanks for the quick response, glevine01. You may want to get a second opinion at a different Ford Dealership. Find some local options by entering your ZIP code here: http://www.ford.com/dealerships/locate If you can provide me with a rough estimate of how many miles are on your truck, I'll be able to see how I can best assist.

Why a forum???

Man, like I don't know this information? I don't care: pay, no pay...I just want it fixed. I have a $25,000 truck I hate to drive because of this. So I try to ask others in a forum and I am told to go back to the dealership even though I have done this 3-4 times with no luck. Why have a forum? I thought this was where people went to provide insight from their experiences, not state the obvious and refer back to the place that could not help in the 1st place???

Ford...NO!!!

I even went directly to Ford themselves and never got any help...If I go anywhere it will be to another service option and bypass Ford all together, Ford service has been nothing but a thorn in my side since day 1...this will be my last Ford EVER because of it...just ridiculous the God awful customer service that is provided!!!

Thanks, glevine01. Send over your details in a private message (PM); I'll dig a bit deeper into this. When writing, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership.

I've been there. When my truck was new, I had an issue a couple times. The dealer could not replicate the issue so nothing was done.

When it's actually making the noise, you need to have a tech come out and show him. Not just drop it off and have them try to replicate it. Maybe you've tried this, I'm not sure. But that's the only way to even find out what the problem is.

My truck makes odd noises, like doors rattling, seat squeaking, etc. I just treat them sounds like I used to ride the ol'e '95 Blue Bird with a DT444E, and a Spicer 5 speed ... ah, those were the days.
