I traded my '09 Platinum 5.4L for a '13 FX4 Ecoboost and I would NEVER go back to that engine.

The ecoboost eats the 5.4's lunch in every way. I actually laughed the first time I put my foot in it with my 8k lb camper hooked up. This thing pulls.

If you're unsure about the ecoboost, go up one year to a 2011 and get the 5.0. Both are great engines. The 5.4 is a turd.

I've said it before an I'll say it again; if Ford was still putting the 5.4 in the F-150, there'd be something else in my driveway.
