New (To Me) Fx4

I just bought an AWESOME 2009 FX4 with 37k miles. I'm in love with this thing, it's definitely one of the best truck I've ever owned. It's got great gas mileage, rides excellent and is just a sharp lookin truck
I've only got a couple pictures so far...

I do have a couple questions about these though..
-The handles and bed rails are in decent shape as it is, but I've heard of some plastic repair products that can bring back the black look.. Can you guys recommend a good product for that?
-It has as pin stripe.. it's not terrible, but I've always been one for the clean look and removing it would be a plus.. Is there an easy way to get rid of them without it being obvious it was takin off?

I have never seen a duo-tone FX4. Very nice! Grats on the new truck.

That's gorgeous! I miss the dark shadow grey two tone. Love that look.

My 05 FX4 was just like that.

Actually it was an option on all colors of the FX4 from 04-08 except dark shadow gray and was standard on flareside FX4's

A hair dryer can be used to heat the pin striping and will enable easy removal.

Beautiful Truck!

Does this usually leave a darker color where the stripe was? I fear the rest of the paint would be just faded enough from the sun that it wouldn't match the paint underneath. I could be entirely wrong though..

It looks like your black plastic parts are in pretty good shape. What I use is actually a protectant called 303 which I've used regularly since new and works great. Not greasy or real shiny like the old Armoral products.

Amazon.com: 303 (30313) Aerospace Protectant Trigger Sprayer, 32 Fl. oz.: Automotive Amazon.com: 303 (30313) Aerospace Protectant Trigger Sprayer, 32 Fl. oz.: Automotive

I'm not a fan of using those products that claim to rejuvenate the black plastic parts unless they have turned grey from the sun.

With the good condition that your parts are in I would try the 303 first for a couple applications then see if you need something more. Yeah, the stuff is a little expensive but a little goes a long way. One spray bottle lasts me almost 2 years and that is also including treating my toneau cover which still looks brand new after 6 years because of using 303.
