& Howdy!

Things you should consider:

- Fartmaster?!? Oye .... that was a downgrade; yer existing OEM system is a great-performing, straight-through, free-flowing, stainless, mandrel-bent exhaust - that preserves the low-end torque ye 5.4 has. Ye Fartmaster is chambered/baffled -wif all of the stupid/silly baffling, ye done went'n added restriction, reduced gas velocity, reduced scavenging and affected ye low-end. Dint add no pawhr 'tawl. Hence, ye have managed to reduce the good perf ye already started wif, fer some noise. Outstanding. Reckon A modicum o' research befer buyin' would'r avoided thet unfortunate waste o' caysh on an ineffective, bottom-feedin' 'zaust. Oh, well.... live & learn eh? ( A good read: https://www.f150online.com/forums/ch...ml#post1754796 )

- 33's will alter effective gearing, add weight and rotational mass, and reduce power. A regear is the best corrective remedy, but perhaps not worth it for the losses incurred. You also will need to correct for speedo/odo/shiftpoint errors.

- HOWE'ER - yall may corn-sider regearin' as a perf mod on it's own merits - dependin' upon ye current gearin' a bump to 4.10's - er better yet, 4.56's - will certainly be a-heppin' ye inna 'giddy-yap' depart'mint, aight. Yall's call on that'n. Still needs ta kee-rek't fer ye gearin' change wif a PCM flash at the very least. Fer the price o' one o' them o'erpriced dead-end, simplistic gear/tahr 'recalibrators', may as well buy a real programmer (see below yonder fer me reccy-men-day-shuns).

- Fergit ye intakes - the factory OEM unit already handily outflows the engine's needs. NO perf gains from a CAI, all marketing BS - BUT it WILL require tuning correction due to MAF TF skew if you insist on installing one ( even if it's just fer 'looks' 'er 'braggin' rights'.

More details here: https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...highlight=2009

- Fergit ye cayms, without some supporting mods - will only shift the power band up in the rpm range - not the best thing to do fer a ~6,000 lb brick of a truck used as a daily driver. Costly - fer little gain. Also be needin' tunin' kee-rek't-shun.

- Hence - you are left with the single best bang/buck mod within reason ( ~$400 ) - a custom-tuned SCT X4 flash programmer, with fully custom tuning from the good ol' Wizards @ MPT. And, as a boner, them fellers be Site Sponsors - our right friendly rep, name o' Mike, be on here wif da handle 'MorePowerTuning'. Give 'im a shout, PM, Email, letter, phone call, carrier pidgeon, smoke signal, whate'er.... ah garn-damn-tee ye won't be disapointed. Don't fergit t' ask fer ye Forum discount, neither!

This'un: http://www.morepowertuning.com/sct-7...ford-f150-5.4L

^^^ will added some power back, vastly improve trans shifting, and will correct ye gearing errors.

- Lastly - if dinero be no object, go straight to a positive-displacement supercharger ( Roush, Whipple, etc ) with good CUSTOM tunin' to match. Power will no longer be a problem - but ye wallet will be much lighter. Ye face be lookin' like this, reckon:

[BTW - ye lone Visitor Message says: "I have a 2009 5.4l fx4. I want more power and torqe. I've added leveling kit and 33 in tires. Magnaflow exhaust. But wanna know more about going towards cold air intakes and programmers, cams, anything and what's yalls take on them, brands, performance. Thanks." So - are ye unsure jist whut'all ye actually installed? Reckon ah'm a might cornfuded

G'luck thar, yungin'!
