No Cutting

Just wondering if someone makes a 4" lift that doesn't require you to cut your braces or anything else. Does someone make a kit that just bolts up. Just bought a 2014 fx4 not sure if I'm comfortable with cutting up a new truck at this point. Thanks for any info.

To my knowledge all of the 4" kits require some cutting.

Might want to check out the "Ultimate Kit" from F150lifts.com. It's a set of coilovers, rear shocks and new blocks that'll effectively gain you 3" of "lift". It's really a leveling kit and new blocks, but it won't require any cutting. Their company truck has been running a full 3" increase with no adverse affect on the CV joints, etc.

^^^ Wellsir, That is their Claim. I wonder about their sincerity though - 3" has been almost universally shown to be ultimately detrimental on this and the previous-gen trucks w.r.t CV and BJ stresses.

Do they offer a written guarantee?

Looking at Rancho's 4" lift - yep some cutting is involved: http://www.gorancho.com/downloads/in...Revision_A.pdf

But - it'll only hurt for a moment , and you'll be doing it right - preserving proper component angles .

Ha, doubtful on the written guarantee. Run at your own risk.
I'm sure that it's not necessarily healthy for the CVs and balljoints, but then again the coffee that I drink isn't healthy either right?...but I still drink it!!
Proceed as you will. 3" will obviously stress those components more than stock angles, but to what extent? No one that I know of have run controlled tests to see just how adverse those angles are and each truck will react differently in varying environments, etc.

Roger that.

I suspect that the Boulevard cruising Brosefs ( who avoid puddles, let alone potholes) will see little adverse affect in the short-term. Whereas the 'Yee-Haw' hilljack offroaders who fully articulate will have a more impactful result.

Lots of reports on here over the years bemoaning ~30K CV / BJ replacements after extreme leveling - so there is some anecdotal evidence to support the observation.

Thanks for the input guy's. I'm running a 2" auto spring rite now. Maybe I will wait till I'm closer to my warranty running out. Maybe by then It won't be so new and I can get myself to do it rite.

If you want a lift without cutting the crossmember, try a small leveling kit, like a 1.5" or 2" just to level out the truck and add a 3" body lift kit. You will end up with 4.5" to 5" of total lift and your CV angles will not be as extreme as a 3" leveling kit and no cutting. In the end you can put the truck back to stock and no-one will ever know it was ever lifted.
