2011 F-150 Sunroof

I have a 2011 F-150 Platinum with 35,945 Miles. I had a piece of plastic break on the driver side track causing my sunroof not to close properly. I tried to buy the Sunroofdoctor sunroof repair Kit, But the instructions were horrible and so I had to take it in for FORD to do the repair. Long story short my Bumper to Bumper ended Sept. 26th and I had to pay for it out of pocket! $125 for parts and $675 for labor! $800 to fix my sunroof when my warranty just ended and I haven't even hit 36k miles! I am upset to say the least. This is my 4th F-150 and I have never had a problem this minor yet cost so much to fix! I just wanted to see if others have experienced problems like this?

I love sunroofs but unfortunately it is not a matter of if they leak but when and they are always expensive to repair. Since your truck is a 2011 it is 4 years old or so, depending on the build date, with the hot Texas sun beating down on it. That is probably why you see a lot of people that have them never use them or they have sealed them shut.

Yea I love having it but I don't think I will be using it much more!! $995 option you pay for that you are scared to use... something just not right.
