Lift for 2012 F150 KR
Lift for 2012 F150 KR
Hey guys,
First off, I have a stock 2012 Ford F150 King Ranch Ecoboost 4x4. I'm super bad with measuring exactly what height I can place on my truck before it is too tall to fit into my school's parking garage. The clearance height for the parking garage ranges from 6'10" - 7'0". I really want to get 35's with 20 inch rims. What size lift could I get that would allow me to have this setup but still remain low enough to fit into the parking garages? I'm looking at a 2.5 inch level from AS right now, but I'm not sure if that would be too much of a lift. What would you guys recommend?
Thanks!

I've never seen a leveled truck NOT fit in a parking garage. Stock 4x4 diesels are taller and I've seen leveled diesels in just about every garage I've ever been in. This includes all the ones on campus at A&M, and some of them have LOW ceilings.
I was shocked when I saw an F150 the same height as mine on the 4th floor of a garage with low ceilings last weekend.
Theoretically, the top of the cab will go up about 2.5" plus 1.5" from the 35" tires being 3" taller than stock, for a total of 4" more than whatever the top of your cab measures now. With that, I'd be absolutely shocked if you didn't fit in every garage you encounter.

2inch would be max, I would go with a leveling kit. I have a 2inch AS leveling kit and the upper control arms hit the springs at full flex. Just save your money and buy a lift kit, especially if you want 35s and some decent offset rims.
