Rancho Quicklift for 2014's

All,

Asked and answered by Rancho.

Looks like the 2014 F150's will get some love in early 2015.

I figured someone here would like to see this info.

Thanks.

Will it actually level out to 2.5" and not sag to 2"?

Thanks for sharing! This has come up a few times in recent weeks.

Several members, Darren included, have them, love how they ride, but they aren't stout enough to stay at full height on the 4x4s.

is it spring sag? or the struts wearing out?

Shocks don't support any weight - the springs do.

Oddly enough the QL's indicate 3" of front height ... WTF?

It's the springs not being heavy duty enough to support the extra weight on the front end. They do just fine on the 2WDs.

While annoying, I'd only ever want 2" added to my front end via extension anyway. 2.5" is a little much.

I love them as a strut. Very nice product. But the sag from their spring is what kills the party for me. I wanted to do a 2.5" level and put a 3" blocks in the back. Instead it sagged to 2" of level height after a couple days. So it is even all around, but not what I wanted. My 295/60s rub slightly due to the spring flex. Others with 2.5" level spacers clear them fully. So the spring is a gripe I have with the struts. Rancho did offer to send me another pair for warranty, but why would I do that? To get the same setup I had already with the same problem I started with originally, and pay for another $75.00 alignment at the Ford dealership. Money and time wasted. If I ever pull them out, it will be to swap OEM coils in.

My advice, if your coils aren't old, use them instead of the Rancho coils. Unless you want the 2" level, and not the advertised 2.5" level.

Haven't had a PM from you in awhile. Is Rancho looking into anything with the issues I have stated above? Or is it just dust swept under the mat. No offense taken on my part if they choose to not do anything, but I would like to see a stiffer coil spring like OEM quality used.
