Blinker Problems

Both of my turn signals are blinking fast. Checked every light on the truck and nothing is out. Read on other threads that it could be because of LED lights but I haven't put any on my truck.

Fast blinking means too low of a resistance in the electrical circuit for the blinker. Perhaps you have something shorting out and causing low resistance?

did you check your trailer hitch connection? (do you have one?)

Faster Blinker? Did you check blinker fluid? JA! J/K Faster blinker means Higer resistance / lower current consumption.

Hey Art - when was the last time you greased your muffler bearings? You need some relative bearing grease for that job.

I upgraded to chrome, roller muffler bearings. I don't have to grease them anymore and they gave me more horsepower.

When it comes to blinker fluid - get the best:

BTW - a 2012 uses an SJB and a microcontroller to set the time constant (flash rate) - independent of current. As such, circuit resistance is no longer the determining factor that it was when the traditional bimetallic flashers were in use. Opens and dead shorts are detected via the same logic however ( and flags an error ).

OP - more likely a faulty SJB..

Really? I don't know they have to be greased, I sold my last truck (FX4 2004) with 330,000 km and never apply any grease.

Where may I buy the grease? Rock auto?
