Tire advice

New member here looking for some advice on the right tire for my truck. I have a 2013 F-150 Platinum with 2" level and bushwacker pocket fender flares and need bigger tires but do not want to sacrifice the handling and mileage too much. Anything is appreciated. Glad to be here.

what are your goals? On-road? off-road? Towing? Maybe BFG Rugged Terrains?

Looking for an all-terrain type to fill gap from flares to tire but along with some off roading i also do alot of highway driving so dont want to sacrifice too much when it comes to ride and noise if that makes sense. Any help is appreciated.

The rugged Terrains might fit the need; they are a highway-centric all terrain. Terrible in snow - like every all-terrain - but if you live in a no-snow area, such as oklahoma, you might enjoy them. I took a set in a 02 SCrew through 8" of mud without any drama.

Definitely not much snow around here. What size would you recommend for 20" wheels. Thanks for your help.

You might want to compare Michelin LTX M/S2 for quiet and smooth with I think 70,000-mile treadlife warrant or BFG T/A KO for good mpg or aggressive looking Nitto Grappler good for offroad, check Ford Tires. Also see Toyo Open Country and Bridgestone Dueler A/T are quiet. I'm looking forward with BFG KO2 coming sometime next month.
33's safer without rubbing, 35's plus leveling for 4wd.

I'm running P275x60x20 Toyo AT2's at stock height on my 4x4 Platinum. These are 33x11 and lightweight so ride and fuel mileage is not too bad. On your leveled truck with flares I would look at some LT285x60x20 (33.5x12) Goodyear Duratracs that are a good size and fairly light for a LT rated tire.

I ended up going with Nitto Terra Grapplers 305-55-20 and they are perfect so far and fit perfect to me with flares on it. Thanks everyone for their help.

Thank you. I really like them so far. Ride isn't bad and noise not near as bad as I thought it would be.

The only think I didn't like was the 2 mpg drop in gas mileage...other then that no problems with them. Do you have the LT or the XL version of that size. I had the LT 10 plys and they were fairly heavy. I ran them at 42 to 44 psi (cold) for everyday driving.

After a few days of driving I got exactly 2mpg less but I was prepared for it. I have the LT.
