6" lift kit, can be returned to stock?

Looking to get a 6" lift kit to run 35's.

I always like the option of returning the vehicle to stock if need be. Are there any lift kits on the market, which allow this? Most I'm finding necessitate cutting which would be prohibitive of returning it to stock.

Thanks,
JSM

A lot of the cutting required by lift kits doesn't affect any factory pieces. The Fabtech for 04-08 requires minor "beveling" of the factory crossmember, but you're not actually cutting anything off.

I'd also keep in mind that lifts cost more to remove than they're worth to sell, if you wanted to go back to stock and couldn't do it yourself.

keep in mind you don't "need" a 6" lift for 35's, although it does look much better in my opinion.

you can fit 35's with a 2 1/2" leveling kit

Look into Rancho I think you can do this with their kit. I installed a zone offroad 6 inch on mine and had to cut. So it wont go back stock but im not sweating that at some point id like to 4 link it straight axle way down the road.

^ I thought Rancho required major frame cutting to fit their subframe. Could be wrong, but that's what I remember, that they required some of the most extensive hacking. Rancho is the best though, IMO.

Had to hack away a cross-member to fit mine in and drop the front trans.

I'm sure you could weld it back up if I really really wanted to go back to stock. I just threw away all the old parts like the knuckles and crap.

Also keep in mind there are lot's of excess parts you will need to store if you intend upon going back to stock.

There is some cutting of the diff but not too bad. But no going back really. And thanks too on the compliment!
