No climate control.. Just has the *****.. It didnt do it for a while today.. Then it did it non stop for 30 seconds. Now its back to only when i accelerate.

The dealership i took it to let the truck sit in the parking lot all day and then told me to come pick it up and make another appointment cause they were busy. So im headed to a small town dealership 35 miles away. Im sure they will figure it out.

Check the cowl panel. I had a car that made weird noises like that intermittently and it was the cowl trim piece that held a rubber strip on the windshield.

I just got a FX2 and it does the same crap! It's up on the front right of the dash and I'd compare the sound of it to a bad sub woofer setup and it would stop if you used some cardboard but it's not that. It does it when I'm driving randomly. Any suggestions?

Mine is in the shop for that issue right now, should know something early next week, does it do it when first taking off?

Yes and sometimes while I am at like 2500rpm or barely holding the throttle at speed. If they figure it out let everyone know.

Hmm. Well I guess now we know it's not an Ecoboost issue.

Yup its still an issue, i went all the way to 10k miles before it showed up.. Had it fixed the first time at 15k and it lasted until 15,500 miles.. Took it in again at 22k and lasted till 25k.. And now at 34k its getting done again.. Im hoping this new dealership will just put in a new driveshaft and be done

I bought the extended warranty for my 2005, and had it done 4 times until the ext. warranty ran out at 100k. I have 220k now, and have just dealt with it. It pisses me off that Ford has silly issues like this. It's getting to the point I am going to have to do something it's really bad now.

Drive shafts are not new tech, they seem to be trying to reinvent the wheel and failing. Stupid crap like this and the no gas cap nonsense, makes no sense to me.

It's been an issue since the 2004 re-design, for chists sake, fix it

Its good to know the extended warranty covers it.. Im just going to keep taking it in everytime it does it until my ford esp runs out. A few members on here said they did that and finally the dealer got tired of fixing it and put the new drive shaft in and havent had another problem since
