Question Rear View Camera

I bought all the items needed to install and have a backup camera in my rear view mirror from TASCA Ford. I emailed them my VIN number and they gave me a list of the part numbers.
Camera w/cable
Rear wiring harness
Harness in headliner
Mirror

Everything works but I get a blue screen for about ten seconds, and it goes out. The mirror works, tried it on a co-workers 2011 fx-4 and the picture is normal. I pulled the harness and camera from my tailgate and will try with it plugged into his truck to see if the camera/harness is working. If not, I'm at a loss. The only other thing would be the main harness, but was told all 2011 F-150's have the same harness.

Any thoughts? Could it be the main harness, if so, how hard would it be to change out.

I had a problem like that with my 2010 F-150 and it turned out to be the tailgate wiring harness. It had somehow gotten chaffed when installed at the factory causing the camera to short out. When you get a blue screen that indicates there is no video signal. I would check all the wiring and connectors very closely.

I plugged it into a co-workers truck and the picture to mirror was great. I'm really confused.

2013 F150, my cam **** the bed at about 20k , ford's electrical guy insisted it was the camera, being that the software is built in the camera module. 9/10 times its the camera.

if you get lagging,"Camera Unavailable", or an intermittent signal, get your camera replaced first (Easy job, under warranty) Check the harness second. I got a newer model, i believe 2014.. Crystal clear (old one was blurry from day 1) , sometimes gets grainy with low light.
