Help Please- Wire PIAA Lights to OEM Harness in Place of OEM Fogs?

Hi All,

1st post requesting assistance. I hope someone here may be able to help and/or has done this already and wouldn't mind sharing their experience. I replaced OEM bumper on my '11 FX4 5.0l with a HD bumper yesterday that allows up to 4 lights. The bumper came with 2 pairs of PIAA 510 lights- one driving, one fog- each lamp is 55w.

Although a Ford parts guy told me the OEM fog-lights were 65w each, I removed a bulb yesterday and it says 37w. I was all set to wire a light on each side by either removing OEM fog-light plug adaptors and splicing, or getting an adaptor from the retro fit source- easy peasy right; the other pair would be wired independently to a new switch.

I understand that adding lights with an increased draw is normally bad, but I don't know if the factory harness is designed to accommodate a larger load for upgraded lights.

Is it still safe to splice one pair of lights to the factory harness as planned? Any one do this with no harm done? If not, is there a safe way to wire these to the factory harness, like adding a relay? Any information, suggestions, wire diagrams are much appreciated.
