All Terrain Tire Opinions needed...

I have a 2011 FX4, 2" Leveling Kit with 1.5 AAL. I am currently running LT275/70/R18 BFG A/T's. Looking to go to a Lt285/65/R18. I am wanting opinions of good all terrain tires. Snow and Off Road. Who is running what tires and how have they done for you so far and do you live where there is snow??? The BFG's are great , however very expensive and heavy too.

Live in the heart of Utah;i guess you could say we get a little/a lot of snow.do a lot of hunting and off road I have toyo AT2 on our 06 f150 5.4 4x4 and 13 eco off road 4x4 put them on the 13 at 30 some miles don't care for those p series flatlander tires. the at2 is great in snow and mud IMO never stuck --yet.was a bfg at fan before and these walk circles around bfg , tried the terra grapplers, once. again IMO just my 2 cents worth. just remember opinions are like -------- and everybody has one

Brother in law has Nitto Terra Grapplers and loves them.. First set he got 65k miles out of em and could've still got another 5 or 10k. He is on his second set now.

Thats going to be the tires i go with when these michelins wear out

I've heard from a few in snow country that the terra grappler is about as good as you can get for an on road snow tire short of a full on blizzak. But the terra has better off road capabilities than the blizzaks. That is what I've heard, can not speak from personal experience, so take that however you want.

I am running 315 70 17 Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 and love them. I live in AR and we had a good amount of snow this year almost record breaking. These tires were excellent for me. They also do great in the mud and off road. They are also surprisingly quite on the road. They are not cheap by any means but they are not as heavy as some tires either. I spoke to 2 others personally running these tires on F150's and one got 45000 miles from them and the other got nearly 50000 miles. I have had them for 3000 miles so far the wear is unnoticeable.

I have to agree with BlackThunder.

As I said in a different post I have almost 42K on my ATZ's and tread depth is currently sitting at - (2) 11/32 and (2) 12/32

Brand new was at 18.5/32

These tires have got me through Mud, Snow, Rain, etc.. Never had an issue. And whenever these finally wear out, I'll probably buy another set.

Totally dig my Hankook Dynapro AT-M's. Though I live around Phoenix, I do frequent the high country mud/snow/etc. Nice road ride too. Like much more than BFG AT's.

Around here I also see a lot of Nitto's and Dunlops as well as BFG's.
