interior dash paint chiping on airbag(what color)

I have a problem with my interior dash on the air bag where the paint is starting to flake off.I tried to use my vin number to find out the color it is wth no luck.If anyone knows I would appreciate the help.
On the vin# it has HW and it is under under INT TR
I would think that means interior trim.
I'll try and post a picture if I can.You can see on the bottom right I tried to cover it up.But if anyone knws the color that be good.
Thank's Joe 2009 Lariot

So, your talking about the Plastic Airbag cover, not the high gloss area surrounding it?

NEVER paint and airbag cover. NEVER. EVER. Contact FomoCo and explain that you feel your airbag is flawed, and may not perform properly in a collision......

No matter what, do not paint that cover.

Just for my own information, why not? Is there a liability issue or a performance issue?
