level questions?

hey guys i just bought a 2013 RCSB XLT 4x4. its supposedly "leveled". i cant rlly tell if it is or not. I currently measure 40.5" front and 41.5" rear. now my questions are hopefully simple heres wat i want/plan. I want about 2" higher in the front than the rear. i plan to run 295/60R20 trail graps how can i achieve the front bein 2" higher without throwing on a 4" lift? any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated. current setup

2.5" level (rc)- bought it from dealership they say its leveled
285/70R17 trail graps on stockers.

future plan?
295/60R20 trail graps on fuel hostages with +20 offset

You want a 4.5 total front lift, without a lift kit? Not a good idea by any stretch, but the only option I can think of (and a very bad one) is to replace the factory shocks with some Bilstein 5100's or equivalent, and stack a 2 inch spacer on top of it. This is a really bad idea.....

If you just want the rake, hit up flea bay for a replacement rear block. Your stock block is 1.25", so order accordingly.

No I dont wanna stack thats just bad juju. What i'm ultimately tryin to achieve is just having my rear-end 2" lower than the front but i reckon i need to first find out what stock trucks are measuring to tell if im leveled or not without actually droppin the strut to see.

I'm just a big fan of the squated rear end rather than 90% of folks that ike the front end rake

Or you can remove the rear blocks to get the bulldog look your after. You can get a set of new 2wd ubolts from tasca for ~50 bucks, which you will need if you remove the blocks.

On my 13 screw with 20's my rear height was 39.5" from the ground to the bottom lip of the flare at the highest point. My front was 37" measured the same. After I pulled the rear blocks, my rear went down to 38.25"

My rear blocks were only 1 3/16" thick so if you pull them you will only loose about 1.25" in the rear. That should put you around 40.5 front and 40.25 rear. That will give more of the look you want, if you drop the rear too much (like 2" or more) you will get the cali lean type look.

yea i think losing the blocks is my best bet b/c i also wanna still be able to run the 34.5 trail grapplers without any problems, would you happen to know wat the block removal "side-effects" would be as in like ride or wear n tear over stock?

None, the 2wd trucks do not have the rear blocks.

My stock heights to the fender lip on my stock height F150 are 37.5" on the front and 39.5" on the rear.

I'm one that likes the rear rake, but I'm old and that's what I grew up with!

Good luck with yours.

Mitch

Eww Cali-leanin and you ain't even in KraZyfornIA? I guess they call it bull-doggin' too, so that covers Georgia I'm just kidding, it's your truck haha.

Check to see if you have an actual level up front and how big it is. If you can't see at least the very bottom of it under the coilover tower/mount, it's smaller than 2". I don't see how you could possibly have a whole inch of rake still after a true 2.5" level unless they changed the rear blocks too, which I doubt they'd ever do.

Putting a (actual) 2.5" kit on the front and pulling the blocks completely and getting 2wd U bolts is the best way to go about it IMO. Otherwise, keep the front the way it is, remove the rear blocks, do the 2wd U bolts, and do a 1-2" drop shackle in the back. Zero issues with removing the blocks because as Red said, that's how every 2wd comes from the factory.

If you can't find 2wd U-bolts and/or are cheap and don't mind waiting, I'd offer up your blocks and U bolts on here and/or Craigslist and see you if can get a 2wd guy to send you his U bolts and cover both of your shipping since he's getting more stuff. One of you would obviously have to be without your truck for a few days.

Don't go too far with it or you'll end up with the "Carolina Squat".

Did you write this up wrong? Or are you actually going for the "too much weight in the box" look?

If factory is /

Leveled is --

You are going for \

Am I getting this right? You want your truck to look like you are carrying 1000 lbs in the box, and your headlights pointing into the tree tops? I'm at a loss for words.......

Seriously? Or are you putting me on?

It's called Cali-leanin and Bulldoggin' my friend. And unfortunately, it's cool. Most lifted diesels I see nowadays are set up like that . . . smh

Yea all the bro's have it out in Cali, the trucks generally also have everything powder coated a bright color, excessive amounts of chrome, wheels wider than the tires, etc. not my taste, but to each his own I suppose..
