Question aDJUSTING HEADLIGHTS

I have a 2013 w/ standard halogen headlights. I have researched several sources and find conflicting info on which direction ( clockwise or counter clockwise ) to turn headlight adjusting screws to adjust the lights UP. Any feedback would be wonderful. Thanks in advance, 34.

Why don't you just turn the screw and see what way it goes.. If it guess the wrong way then turn the other way... Why do you wanna move your headlights up.

I don't have a 09+ f150 , but if the adjustment screw is on top of the headlight then common sense would say counter clockwise.

Recheck your manual. Looks like in 2010 they had a misprint and it said to turn it counterclockwise to drop lights but its actually to raise headlights. Sorry for the confusion.
But then again this could have been found out by doing it yourself.

Just turn it one way and see what happens . . . that's WAY faster than looking it up

Sure.

But - the Headlights are not. Same heads from 09-14 (non HID of course).

34, several have said the same thing, and they say it, because it is the simplest. I've been a bodyman for years and years, and have never looked up which way to turn the screw. Just park your truck 15 feet away from a wall, or garage door, and turn the screw. Observe what happens on the wall. If it is not the way you wanted it to go, then it's a super easy decision on what to do next. With the typing and research you have done here, you could have had it done before even logging in here.

That said, welcome to F150online. The folks around here are always more than happy to help, you just took some of the blunt advice a little harshly.

Isn't that what I said?
Is there an echo in here?

I guess my problem is I am 2x the age of most people on this site. I build hot rods ('28-34) Fords for a hobby and I am used to hanging out on H.A.M.B. and some of the real do it yourself hot-rod sites. The response attitude is very different , but no complaints just thanks for feedback. 34

Then you should be used to doing things by trial and error. None of us are trying to be rude, it just isn't worth your time doing all of this research and question asking for something so inherently simple. I just adjusted one of my 06's headlights on Friday and asking which way to turn it never entered my mind, I just turned it and oberved what happened.

Actually you have it just backwards, we research all possibilities BEFORE we do anything as some of the parts/ items we work with are over 70 yrs. old and you cannot find/ or afford to replace many of these. When you are assembling suspension parts you gather all input on kingpin angles, ackerman effect , caster/camber etc. you can find so you get it right the 1 st time. It is too expensive in time and money to trial and error. Thanks for your input, 34
