New Tires Help
hey whats up everybody. so its time for me to get some new tires for my 2010 f150 scab. I need help on what brand/style is the best bang for the buck. I have the stock 20" rims and do mostly just highway driving back and forth to work. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated…
Thanks
Thanks
I was not at all happy with the Pirelli's especially as they got older. Bought Michelin's from my Ford dealer who matched and beat any offer I had. They were great. Replaced with
Michelin LTX M/S2. Had an 8 inch snow to try them out with a few weeks back and was very pleased with overall performance. BTW, I have an 09 150 screw Platinum 4x4. Had 46 k on stock tires.

I like the Cooper AT^3. They do pretty good off road and have good on road manners. The tread pattern might be more aggressive than you are looking for though. Do you do drive off road much? If not I would look more for a highway tire.
AFAIK all 04-14 F150's with 20" wheels came with 275/55/20 regardless if it's 2wd or 4x4

My coworker has had a set of Michelin LTX's on for the past year. Two have been replaced because of holes due to nails in the side wall area, a third was just replaced due to a large bolt that tore out a corner by the side wall. Three separate events.
Not blaming the tire, but it seems like he has had too many flats in a single year to not mention the tire. The tread pattern might pick up the nails, the sidewall might not be as durable as it could be. We are watching for future failures. I have over 500,000 flat free miles on Goodyears, so I'm sticking with what works.

Everything in my garage is running the Michelin M/S2. I wanted an aggressive tire like I would buy in my younger days (Goodyear Duratrac) but thought better of it. I drive so many miles I love these tires. They are Cadillac smooth, quiet, wear like iron and bite great in the snow which we see a bit of. The E load tires are 15/32 so they have decent tread depth. The interlocking siping makes for good wet and snow grip.
I did buy the E load and lost about one MPG since they are ten pounds heavier per tire. So keep with the P Metrics if MPG is your priority.
My second choice would be the Michelin A/T2 for a more aggressive tire.

I installed Firestone Destination LE2 18" highway tires about a year ago. Good ride and are wearing good. They have a really good rating on tire rack. Got a email today with a link for a sale on the tires for cost + $1.00 from Firestone. Expires 1/20
