How much of that discount is incentives and how much is an actual dealer discount?

The Ford dealer here in Joplin has 78 2013 F-150's in stock. However, almost all of them are crew cab. They have 6 extended cabs, all 4x4, 2 with EB and the rest with 3.7's. They are only knocking about 6k off sticker, discount and rebates. They have 20 4x4 crews left, all but 2 are EB, only 2 5.0's. Discounts range from 5500 to 7k, so if you are getting 8k off locally, you are doing "okay".

If you're that close, and we end up having better deals, it can be worth the short trip. If you can get 8 off with no effort, try to get 10k and call it a day. If not, we'll likely be able to get the 10k off down here.

Ill drive my 2wd and get 2 or 3 mpgs better and save 4g's in the process.

Good luck Op.. As you stated Unless you find a crazy good deal then its probably not worth making a out of state trip.
Never said that, that is up to him. But he should also have all the facts, not just opinions. If he wants a 4x4, why shouldn't he buy one.

Your definitely right. Its his truck and he will get what he wants.

Just the way you said it about 4x4 values is why i asked the question. Not trying to argue.

I just bought a truck last Saturday, so I was at several dealers. I live in south west corner of PA. The rebates are a couple more grand on a xlt versus a stx. One dealer had an 13 xlt sterling gray supercab for 29 after rebates and a few others right around 30.
