gear swap for performance

i don't post here much, but i'm looking for a little information

trying to figure out which gears (ring and pinion) will work in a 13 f150 with a 5.0. i understand perhaps there is a change in gears from 11 on up, and the 10 and down 9.75 gears are not the same.

can anyone confirm this for me?

i'm doing this only for the fun factor. i will probably go to 4.10's.

What gears do you have now? Still have stock size tires?

Gears with the 6 speed auto don't help you with anything as much as you think. 1st gear is a stump puller. If you can break the tires loose off the line with the traction control turned off, you aren't going to get off the line any quicker with gears.

However, if you do a swap, I also think 4.10's would be best. If it were MY truck, I'd buy a programmer and custom tunes before I'd regear.
