On the 04-08's the BCM was on the back wall of the cab under the trim panel on the drivers side. The BCM is a black rectangular box about 3" by 5" and has a sticker on it with 5 digit numerical code. That 5 digit code is your factory original code for the keypad.

Hopefully someone with a 10 screw will chime in and verify the location of the BCM

I think the box is behind one of the kick panels on the '10's. You also must look at the back side of the module, not the front.

In the book for you manual there is a plastic card that has the number on it, previous owner may have taken it out though. Or you can call your dealer with the vin number

If the dealer gives the door code out over the phone with no proof of ownership, just some guy with a VIN number they should be shot.

That's what I was told by the salesman, I hope it's not true.

If it's the same as the '09 it's behind the passenger side kick panel. I found mine on the backside of the BCM, facing the firewall. You have to remove the panel and the molding there but it snaps back in place. use a flashlight and wedge yourself in there but you can see the white sticker. I used a thread from a while ago to get mine. I'll look for it! Good luck!

Here's the link that I used! Sorry about the double post...stupid iphone.

Just take it to the dealer and he will give you the number and then you can make up your own 5 digit number from there.
That seems like the easiest solution. Obviously, if the little card was still with your owner's manual, that would be even easier

Most dealers charge $65 to $100 for hooking up their computer and retrieving the code. Unless you have a benevolent dealer, cheaper to just remove the kick panel on the 2009s and up. A lot easier than removing the back of the rear seat in the earlier models.

Dealer said yes but like previously stated they want $50 to hook their computer up to the truck n get it. Thought they could just punch vin # in but they cant. Still lookn for it on computer but no luck yet. I can see 1 on passenger side right kick panel but didnt see #. Do i have to unbolt it?

Everyone is allowed to have a brain fart once. Well now you've had your one, so don't do it again or we'll have to revoke your man card.
