'99. '04. '10. '12. I have loved them all.

'13. Slightly different story. I REALLY love this truck. I don't drive this as a daily driver so it really feels special anytime I drive it. It is by far the nicest vehicle I have ever owned.

I am thinking Lightning search in a couple of years :).

Love the truck just not the mpg 2010 w/105k and only getting around 14.5 avg until I start hauling things but it is a fx4 so I got what I paid for LOL

I keep feeling it's about time to upgrade my 2007. It's nice having a truck with no payments though.

Very happy with my 2011 FX4 Eco 42000 miles trouble free in 2 1/2 years. Also very happy with 2011 Fusion 4 cyl. 2 years 39000 miles and never been to the dealer for anything. Hoping to keep them both for 10 plus years.

I'm very happy with my 2012 "FXLariaT". Gas mileage is vastly better than any other trucks I've owned, and it's comfortable, has plenty of amenities, rides great, handles great, runs great, and has more than enough power for anything I could possibly think to use it for.

:beers:

That would be a big no for me. I'm 6' 3" and I drive a focus. Granted the car is loaded but its still a shoebox. Mileage is great, I hypermiled it a few times and got a peak of 55.1 mpg. Right now I'm averaging 30.2 combined with the a/c on. Another thing I can't stand about the car is the color, the wife picked it, she had to have that damn yellow. She drove for a year then got a new escape and I got stuck with the focus. So come tax time I trading it for a truck, probably a 14 2wd tremor in blue flame, unless the price is too outrageaous then I'll get an FX2 scab equipped just like the tremor.

I love my truck and wouldn't option it any other way. There's things you always think about getting and for me, that was the Heavy Duty Suspension package, the Off Road Package, or the 6.5' bed.

I glad I didn't get any of those for these reason. The HD suspension package comes with little tire which aren't the best for snow and mud. The HD package doesn't come with a locking axle which I really wanted this round so I have it when pulling my large travel trailer through muddy grass in campgrounds. The HD package doesn't have the chrome package which I really started to like and when you consider I'd be buying the side step regardless, the package is only a few hundred after the discount. Plus the package comes with the 6.5' bed that I'll get to next.

Thought I'd want the 6.5' bed but found that if I had the longer bed it would make my turning diameter larger. Getting my longer travel trailer in my driveway with such a narrow street is hard. I can only image it really being a major pain with the a 6.5' bed. The same is true of tight campsites off of narrow dirt roads. Also I've found I can barely fit into some parking spots at the YMCA and my aunt Condo parking lot. I know having a 6.5' would force me on the street blocks away. That's not even considering parking garages that have even shorter spots with the spots behind being even closer due to narrow road way.

I thought about the Off Road Package because I would had liked the skid plates, but I would had to get the Off Road Shocks. I already have the 3.73 locking axle. Most Off Road Shocks are very good at towing trailers and after testing or owning other off road packages, you really give up on ride quality for little benefit when off road. I didn't want off road shocks.

I was able to get all options I did want.

I was able to get the 3.73 locking axle, the front bench "cloth" seat (hate leather), sync (even though it doesn't work right most of the time) Keyless entry Keypad, Side steps and 18" wheels, Power rear window w/defrost, sirus radio (50/50 on this at first but love it now!), definitely needed the Trailer Brake Controller, Definitely the 5.0L over Ecoboost, and really love the 5.0L upgraded 7350 lbs GVWR over Ecoboosts lower 7200 lbs (Had that lower 7200 lbs with my 2010 5.4L as well :( ) .

Would had liked the Max Tow package but not at the expense of getting the Ecoboost.

I'm not that bother because the Max Tow actually only adds a real 125 lbs of capacity over mine. Max tow raises the rear axle by only 200 lbs and the weight of that Max Tow option is 75 lbs if you do the math. On paper the Max Tow adds 225 lbs of payload over my truck.

I had the Ford OEM Trailer Tow mirrors and I really don't like their looks and they tend to vibrate out all the time, requiring to be pushed back in. BUT they are function for towing and that's what matters. The Super Duty/2013 power telescoping mirrors are much more aerodynamic looking and don't stick out like a kid with huge ears. I tried to buy those but they're about $1,200 , no thanks!

I already have the 3.73 geared axle and TBC so that doesn't matter. I would had liked the extra 100 lbs of hitch capacity but with the F150 lower axle ratings and payload ratings, I'll never see my hitches 1050 lbs rating.

I feel if you are going to pull a "Travel Trailer" that over 9000 lbs, you should use a F250 just for the 13% - 14% higher tongue weight and extra payload.

So I did study and research hard and long and found the truck that fits me great. Plus it gets awesome fuel economy when I can keep my foot out of the gas.

I love what I got!

Doesn't the Max tow pkg also add a larger radiator and trans cooler as well?? Wouldn't you think that's a big deal when it comes to towing????

I couldn't be happier with my truck. Two years and 26,000 miles without an issue. It tows like a beast and is as comfortable as a Cadillac when sitting behind the wheel for hours at a time.

Because you don't drive it. That's one year or less of driving for many people I know, including myself.

No, because you don't need anything but the standard tow package cooling to tow 8200 lbs to 9600 lbs! With a 1150 lbs Max Tow Package hitch receiver rating, and a tongue weight of 12% to 14%, you'll be maxed on your trailer weight at 8200 lbs to 9600 lbs unless you overload your hitch receiver rating of 1150 lbs. ;)

1150 lbs / .12 = 9583 lbs
1150 lbs / .14 = 8214 lbs

With a 1050 lbs Standard Tow Package hitch receiver rating, you'll have a trailer weight even lower, 7500 lbs to 8750 lbs.

1050 lbs / .12 = 8750 lbs
1050 lbs / .14 = 7500 lbs

That's why most 1/2 ton tow ratings are 'fantasy' numbers.

You need a class 5 hitch receiver and a lot more payload to actually tow the max ratings on these trucks.

I beg to differ, 13,000 miles a yearseems normal. Besides i have the luxury of having more than one vehicle to drive. :)
