Ecoboost max tow
I tow my Wrangler Unlimited, about 7500lb plus cargo and people. On my last trip to South Dakota, 1400 miles out and back, I averaged 10.4mpg. Cruise was set at 65 on interstate, which was 95% of the miles.
My current mileage is listed in my signature, with 3.73 gears. If you only tow 1-3 times per year, 3.55 gears will suffice if you are flat land towing.

You are going to have max payload issues. What specs are you looking at for the truck - cab type, bed length, and 2 or 4 wheel drive?
AGAIN, how many pounds are you planning on putting inside the TRUCK and bed - you, passengers, and cargo?

We have a lot of hills where I live and go. Payload in the rear just luggage. Superscrew 6'bed. In the cab 4 people and a dog. Later on will be going out west Wyoming in feb/march snowmobiling hauling 4 sleds.i currently get 10.2 mpg with my 5.4L and 14 city 17 highway. I'm looking better mileage towing and driving around. I average pull the trailer 12-15 times a year with that payload.

3.73 vs 3.55 only difference is on highway generally speaking around town you won't see much difference. Essentially the difference is your turning 2k rpms with the 3.73 @ 65mph while the 3.55's might see 1800-1900 rpms @ 65mph. Thus if your doing mostly highway then the 3.55's will do fine, if your doing alot of hills or stopping and starting the 3.73's will perform better while hauling a load.
Okay - 4 people and a dog in the cab with luggage? I assume the sleds will be in the trailer?
Assuming 800 pounds in the cab and a 9000 pound trailer with 12% tongue weight, that's a total of 1880 pounds payload. Not only do you NEED max tow, you may also need HD payload!
