Battery Drain Question: 2013 F-150 Platinum Battery Going Dead Overnight
Hello All!
I am posting for my father in law, who owns a 2013 F-150 Platinum Eco Boost V-6.
The problem he is having is that the battery is being drained overnight, and his dash lights are staying on sometimes up to 5 hours plus, after he has parked the truck and turned everything off. He has taken it to the local Ford dealer, who are at a loss as to how to diagnose this one. They haven't found anything out of the ordinary. Everything shuts down according to plan after they hooked it up to their main computer.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this frustrating problem?
Thanks in advance for any info!

Battery drain problem
Hi,
I've had the same problem. I have a 2012 F150 Fx4 ecoboost. The gauge lights won't turn off and unless you disconnect your battery your battery will drain. I was told that the problem had to do with the wiring on my shifter assembly, apparently there is a short in the wiring or something. So now I've been waiting for the part for over 3 weeks now. The part has to come out of the United States and there is still no word on where the part is. As of this Friday it will be 4 weeks that I have been disconnecting my battery every night. I hope this helps you.

Probably this little switch is causing the problem. It fixed mine. Sorry for bringing up an old thread
