Have a 13' Platinum and love the truck. An odd thing happens occasionally. I've walked by my truck from time to time and the dash lights will come on. The key has been in the ignition every time this has happened and if I watch for a few seconds they go off. Only the dash lights are on, no center stack lights or interior lights. Haven't mentioned it to the dealer, dosen't cause a problem that I know of. Just a little weird.

 

I cant tell you if the dash lights coming on is normal. after the keys have been in there more than x amount of time. however ---
when the keys are in or even close enough to the ignition, there are some systems in the vehicle which will stay in 'ready' mode. or pre-start mode.

I had a buddy who rarely drove his 09 plat.. keys in the ignition, battery dead after a week.

he now keeps keys in the cup holder and there are no issues. however he also now has the truck on a tender.

I wouldn't think the Bluetooth system would be trying to connect to your phone? I know even when doors are opened, and I go to get in the center console. my 500gb western digital hard drive is booting up. so other systems could also be powering on. or are still actually 'on' ..

 

brother in laws 12 fx4 did that not too long ago. came on for a second or two then went back off. we were behind it when I seen it happen.

Hate to revive an old thread, but did you ever determine the problem? My '11 Lariat has started doing this.
