Ive noticed if i go to gauge mode it gives me transmission temp,compass and the third screen is blank.. What should be there? Im thinking something with 4x4 models?

Don't know, it's blank for me too. I have a 2012 Lariat 4x4 ecoboost for comparison

 

The last screen is suppose to be blank. I guess it is an option to have nothing showing on the display.

You have a 2x4 2013 KR right? That would explain why your third screen under "Gauge" is blank. Mine has three readings: "Trans temp", (currently) "2 Speed Auto 4x4", and a blank (no compass). So it does have to do with 4x4s.

No compass under "Gauge" mode is understandable, as all the compass indicators and functions appear within NAV on the center stack 8" screen (2013 Plat).

I would think the 2013 KR would be similar, unless you didn't opt for NAV (part of the luxury package).

Anyway, I know from following along that you have a very nice truck.

 

I wish i had a 2013 KR.. I had a 03 KR for almost 5 years.. The new truck is a XLT..

 

Great riding around in a 2013 F-150, right? I think Ford had a pretty good year with them. I'm well pleased with my decisions.

Yeah I didn't catch that the first time around. I dont have a compass on the seconds screen, just info about the 4x4 torque split. I don't have the Nav package in my truck. It's essentially a base model Lariat, with the chrome package, ecoboost, and flow through console for options.

 

at some point we are supposed to have 'Apps' we can load into the vehicle. I know the software dev kit was released. however I don't think anyone is making apps yet. what ever those will be ?

we are also supposed to be able to control Pandora on our phones through the actual radio, while I can pause and skip songs, all song info is supposed to transfer.. that was promised before the 2012 model year.

 

Looking at the XLT and the FX2 models (2013) the last several days, I noticed the third screen being empty also. Two different salesmen at two different dealers both said they have never seen anything in the third setting, regardless of the model or drive system.

The ones I tested did show trans temp and compass (XLT). I don't recall the compass showing on the FX2 which had factory nav. It might have been there and I just missed it, but I know the third screen was blank.

 

I have the 2013 Platinum 4x4 and there is a blank screen as well. I was thinking it was for the Raptor, in hill descent mode or off road mode or something like that??? My fav is the "Truck Apps" screen, pretty cool to see the power routing through the wheels, etc.

 

Mines a 13 F150 XLT with Plus package and Off road package and I have Trans Temp, compass and a blank screen.

 

Hey guys, I came across this forum looking for the same answers. I just purchased a 2014 F150 FX4 with NAV. My owners manual states it should have the Compass, Trans Temp, and 4x4 Screen, yet I only have the one Trans Temp and one blank screen.

 

Well, you all got me beat? I have an '11 Lariat supercrew 4x4, 6.2 max tow. I just have the trans. temp and then blank. So I just have two spaces on mine.

 

My 2011 fx4 has trans temp and a blank second screen. Compass is in the nav screen

 

Mine is trams temp, compass, and a blank screen. The 4x4 stuff is in another part of the menu.

Not sure why it's blank, but I'm glad it is. There's no way to actually turn the screen off, and I prefer to drive without the screen flashing things at me, so I usually drive with it on the blank screen most of the time.
