41 votes so far.

Of those, 8 say they do not have the ecoboost.

Removing those 8, there are 31 out of the 33 votes that are positive. So that means the Ecoboost is getting 94% approval right now in the poll.

And interestingly... of the 2 negative votes so far, one has a 5.0 F150 and the other has a Toyota...

Also note that the Toyota owner was a previous Toyota owner who bought one of the lemon EB's, and didn't equip it correctly for his use due to misunderstanding the tow ratings.

With a new CAC in my 11 no more stalling in the rain or moisture build up in it, but mileage is 17.0 with 3.73 rear end, sooner or later those turbos will fail and that is when the $$ is going to be needed for repair. For this fad I will switch to a 3.7L in 2015

Why not the 5.0?

The rebuild kits for the K03s aren't very expensive at all. Last time I checked they were around $100/each. A water cooled turbo should easily last 200,000+ before any problems. At that mileage any part on any vehicle will have outlived its designed service life.

actually a lot of components are designed based on a 300,000 mile service life

Sooner or later the engine/tranny/rear end/A/C/power window switch/door locks/you name it will fail. Just ride a bicycle to work if you are that concerned about the turbos failing. Sheesh!

You know, diesels have been heralded for their longevity. They haven't come non-turboed in what, 20+ years? Quit
