2009 Gear change clunk downshifting at low speed

Problem- When moving at low speeds, less than 20 MPH, and the truck downshifts I can feel a physical jerk and hear a soft clunk.

Background- I've had my 2009 Ford for about three weeks. Bought it from a Ford dealer and it checked out great there.

Had a check engine light last week. Turned out to be a non-recall TBS issue, which only gets fixed if it comes up and the customer brings it in. Techs explained it was a reflash of the Transmission computer.

The techs said that I might experience some rough shifting for a week or so as the computer 'got used' to the transmission.

I'm just wondering if folks think this falls into what they say is normal or if I should be worried. A rough shift is one thing, feeling the whole front end move with the gear change is another.

Thanks in advance,
AC

Could be the driveshaft needs to be lubed. They had to do this in my 2010 after a couple years.

Just saw this thread. My '09 has done this since day 1. I bought it with 4 mile on it and its always done it. I attributed it to the 6 speed trans. I'll have to ask my dealership about it.
