Door Removal for Manual Windows

Hi All,

Trying to remove the driver side panel on 2011 non power window setup.

Got all the screws out of the panel and the panel is out enough that the clips are out but looks like i need to have it go past the window crank handle?

All the threads i found so far point to power window setups so would anymore be kind to please advise on what is needed to remove the panel for a non power setup.

Have a issue with the door pin not going down to lock so want to take a peak to see what seems to be happening.

Thanks.

If you could post a pic I may be able to better help with your problem. I've got an '05 with crank windows and removed my door panel this summer to upgrade to the tow mirrors.

I believe you have to remove the crank handle.

every crank handle type interior removal I have ever done (but not your year) is push in on the panel around the base of the crank handle and find and release the clip you'll find holding the handle on its shaft. You should then be able to further remove the panel.

Yours may be completely different, but take a look at it.

My crank handle popped right off with a little pressure from a flat head screwdriver under it.

Sounds good. My wife was hesitant to look at it due to PITA clips that you have to deal with on putting the panel back on. Still under factory warranty so we will take it to the dealership and see how it goes.

Thanks for kind responses all.

That being the case, you shouldn't have tried to open the door panel yourself.

I believe the manual cranks are held on with a t20 screw. The body of the crank has a cover over it that looks like it is a solid unit, but it is not. Get your fingers in behind where it is attached to the panel and pull. It should separate, then pivot around the ****.
