Ruff, if you were to leave the state, would the tightening you needed have been covered nation-wide by FoMoCo, or did you return the truck to the selling dealer, and they took care of it internally?

Another example, if you were in another state, and needed replacement shocks, which are not FoMoCo parts, but rather a BDS part, would the "repairing dealer" (from the other state) bill Ford for the parts, or your selling dealer?

The work i mentioned in my post was actually done at a different dealer then where i bought it, in a nearbye city. But they also sell slightly modded f150's. I agree with you though, it could be a hassle at another dealer.
