rear camera and back up sensor issues?

I have a 2011 f150 fx4 ext cab 5.0. I had the rocker panels and bumpers rhino lined, when the shop did this they took the box off and washed and detailed the truck and when it was all said and done the camera didnt work, the shop looked at it and took everything apart and couldnt find anything. So they told me to drive it for the weekend and bring it back monday. When I tried it monday it worked. Seems like moisture is getting in it or something? Been haveing issues with my sensors too had them replaced twice now

Sounds like the insulation on your wiring harness could be chafed somewhere and is grounding out when the exposed wire contacts metal like on a rough road or when you hit a bump. It could also happen when you run through water. That would be the most likely cause of the intermittent problem you were describing considering they had the bed off. It could also be an improperly seated harness plug. When your checking the wiring don't forget to check the harness that runs through the inside of your tailgate.
